Minnesota Drone is a focused commercial aerial studio based in Bemidji. The expertise behind the work was built across the country: from the port of los angeles to remote alaskan wilderness. Northern Minnesota is where we choose to do it.

How we got here

Minnesota Drone is the regional commercial drone arm of a 6-year aerial production practice. Over 200+ commercial projects, the work has spanned the active berths and container yards of the Port of Los Angeles, the remote interior of Alaska reachable only by bush plane, and most everywhere in between. The breadth is the foundation. The local depth, by which we mean northern Minnesota's lakes, weather, working calendar, and clients, is the focus.

What we do

Aerial photo, video, and site documentation for businesses and property owners across northern Minnesota. We focus on visual storytelling and clean documentation, not survey-grade measurement, thermal analysis, or LiDAR. Every project starts with a conversation about what the imagery is actually for.

What we don't do

We don't quote engineering-grade survey work. We don't promise roof-condition diagnosis. We don't do volume real estate listings. We don't run on the cheapest price in the region, and we won't try to. Premium work, fairly priced, narrowly scoped.

Why northern Minnesota

Because we live up here, work up here, and know what it looks like. The lake light at sunrise, the way fall color reads from the air, the difference between a Brainerd Lakes lakefront and a Park Rapids resort cluster, the right altitude for capturing a working construction site versus a finished commercial property. The local context is the work.

    Airspace check, weather window, shot list, property permissions, equipment prep.

    Capture

    Planned flight path. Wide, medium, and tighter perspectives. Backup footage.

  4. 04

    Process

    Cull, color, edit, and organize. Consistent file naming and sizing for your use cases.

  5. 05

    Deliver

    Branded folder, web and social exports, usage notes. Five-day standard turnaround.

How we work

  • Weather minimums that protect the work

    We fly when conditions earn the result, not when the calendar says to. Reschedules happen, and they protect the deliverable.

  • We turn down jobs we can’t do well

    Survey-grade, thermal, LiDAR, and budget single-flight work get referred out. The narrow scope is on purpose.

  • Local airspace and conditions

    Bemidji, Brainerd, Park Rapids, Duluth: controlled airspace, lake-effect weather, the working calendar of a tourism economy. We know the region.

  • Five-business-day standard turnaround

    Most one-time projects delivered within five business days, in branded folders with consistent naming, sized for web, social, and ads. Rush delivery available.
