Who we are
Minnesota Drone is an aerial photography, video, and site documentation studio based in Bemidji, MN. This policy covers www.minnesotadroneservice.com and the contact form on it.
What we collect
Information you give us
The contact form asks for your name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in, the project location, your timing, and whatever you write in the message field. Everything on the form is information you choose to type. We do not ask for payment details, government identifiers, or any other sensitive category of data anywhere on this site.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this one records basic technical information when a page is requested: the pages viewed, the approximate region the request came from, the referring site, and the browser and device type. This comes from two places. Our host, Vercel, records standard server request logs including IP addresses. Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, records aggregate usage so we can see which pages are useful and which are not.
Cookies and browser storage
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell repeat visits apart from new ones. The video reel on the work page is embedded from YouTube, and YouTube sets its own cookies when that page loads. We do not run advertising or retargeting pixels on this site. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, and the site will continue to work normally.
When a link includes campaign tags or a click identifier, we keep those details in your browser tab's session storage and carry them to the contact form. This helps us connect an inquiry with its campaign as you browse the site. This temporary record lasts for the tab's browser session and does not contain anything you type into the contact form.
How we use it
Contact form submissions are used to respond to your inquiry, prepare a quote, and keep a record of the conversation if you become a client. Analytics data is used in aggregate to understand which pages are doing their job. We do not use any of it to build advertising profiles.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. Contact form submissions are transmitted to and stored in our customer relationship management system, which we use to track inquiries and follow up. Analytics data is processed by Google. Our website host processes the request logs described above. These providers act on our behalf. Beyond them, we share information only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Inquiries and client records are kept for as long as they are useful to an ongoing or potential working relationship, and then removed on request. Analytics data is retained under Google Analytics' standard retention settings.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To do that, use the contact form or call (218) 209-5450 . We will confirm the request and act on it within a reasonable period. You can also opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google's browser add-on.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and property owners. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date at the top. Material changes to how we handle inquiry information will be reflected here before they take effect.
